You see quite a few cyclists, which is almost as dangerous.

A footpath from the end of Golf Lane would be nice. But that's just a pipe dream isn't it.

Replying to self. Actually looking at Google Maps satellite view, there is/was a track. Go right to the very end of Golf Lane, turn right and cross a field. Turn left and follow the hedge, turn right when you reach the farmhouse. Come out on Harbury Lane, not far from the club.

It's not marked as a right-of-way on an OS map.

    Or something along those lines.
To be fair, I only ever bring this up when the same one person keeps going on and on ad infi-effing-nitum about it with nary a germ of an idea of assistance.

Everyone that has looked at it has found the cost prohibitive. Maybe there is a solution. I suppose the club could always put a bus on at every home game and increase the admission by a couple of quid.

What? I see a few virtually every game now. And it's frigging dangerous.

I've walked round there a few times to get to the ground, it's certainly not a public right of way though!! Personally never walked over to the farm track as I'm sure the farmer wouldn't be too enamoured with seeing Brakes fans walking across his land. Best bet is walking across to the field gate on Harbury Lane (there's an area of hard standing in the field next to it).

The other way I've done, which is legal but more dangerous, is walking down the public footpath at the end of Golf Lane, then down the Fosse and Harbury Lane from there. As I've said this is a dangerous route as there is no footpath and the verge is variable, non existent in places, end result being having to walk on the road for stretches.

Has anyone thought of talking to the rights of way officer at Warwickshire Council about the possibility of establishing a foot/cycle path from golf lane to the NWG? My guess is our chances would be very very slim, but might be worth a chat. Supporting safe healthy and sustainable transport means to the ground should be a priority for the club. The benefits in financial and health terms for our supporters are obvious, but I guess the sticking point would be finance.
