I've just been nerding it up on Wikipedia and found an article on "Banburyshire". Anyone heard of this phrase? Can't say I have. I imagine the Nurden lot probably live in what might be classed as Banburyshire.

CV postcode here so no Banburyshire in this neck of the woods!

So you live in what people claim to be Banburyshire and you've never heard of it. Might be worth getting in touch with whoever created the page. Google throws back some results but nothing much. Sounds like something that Banbury folks made up.
Probably akin to the Cheltnumshire and Leamingtonshire situation............. people associated with Cheltenham and Leamington do not want to be associated with their county towns of Gloucester and Warwick, hence what they think should be the rigthful county names.
I would assume people living in Banbury don't want to be associated with Oxford.
Where does Cockneyshire start? I'd say it was south of the line Bishops Itchington - Chesterton - Ashorne. Puts Northend waaay across the border.
Cockneyshire starts once you leave Leamingtonshire, so, just past Shotteswell. Although, Shotteswell does have an OX postcode...
Viva Holleran!
